I listened to this one on a long drive, and it was totally riveting. Kept me awake, for sure! Great concept, great execution - I wish I'd realized it was the first book in a series, as it ends on a sort of cliffhanger, though it also has a complete plot within itself. Characterization and emotional growth as well as a thrilling plot arc; a great read. Only nitpick: present tense. Which, I know, lends a little to the sense of urgency blah blah blah, but is hard to take for a whole novel. Despite the het romance, passes the Bechdel test swimmingly, and the relationships between women seem almost more real.
