A tale of how Grandma Beetle delays Senor Calavera who has come to take her away. Senor Calavera is a skeleton that represents death. Grandma has ten tasks to complete before she is ready to leave. All ten are finally completed, but Senor Calavera is nowhere to be found.
It is tough to define a target audience. The content of the book, with the counting, tends toward the young side, yet the topic is more appropriate for slightly older children.

This tale might work best within a school setting. Possible thematic units include trickster tales, Day of the Dead information, or Spanish language (the counting is in English and Spanish).
