A short, but unforgettable graphic novel about a team of household pets engineered into armor wearing, killing machines by the US military. Cybernetics allow the military to control them in battle, and give the animals the limited ability to speak. When the dog, cat and rabbit are released back into civilization, they have to fight the military and other "weapons" like themselves in order to make their way back home. The art is stunning, but does feature a lot of graphic blood and guts. The extreme violence juxtaposed against a sad dog encased in armor telling himself he's a good dog or bad dog makes for an eerily emotional read. Recommended for mature high schoolers or adults.
