I was reading Stardust when I picked up an email from my local library that The Graveyard Book I had requested was in. Stardust failed to pull me in so I returned it and started reading Graveyard, which I couldn't put down. The story is an interesting concept borrowed from Kipling's The Jungle Book, and it works very well. So instead of the Indian jungle, you have a graveyard in England; instead of animals, you have the dead, ghouls, mist-walkers, and Hounds of God. There was just enough suspense, humanity and humour to leave you wanting more.
