Jane's first to be published and it really sets the tone for those that followed. Lots of drama, temporarily unrequited love, money woes, mixed signals, rogues and posers, and of course a happy ending. What's not to like? Of course if you can't get through a Jane Austen novel, most of the films made from her books are good especially those on PBS. Although many details have been slightly altered, they are more-or-less true to the her story.
