it was amazing
bookshelves: ebook, english, science-fiction, female-protagonists, series-complete-finished
Read from November 16 to 25, 2012

Wool took me by surprise. It caught my eye as a nominee in the Goodreads Choice Awards 2012 because it had such a peculiar title that I definitely had to find out more about it – clever trick! I downloaded the sample which contained the complete “Wool 1” and was hooked.

Instead of writing an ordinary review, which might contain too many spoilers, I’ve decided to do something different. I have to admit, I am one of those people who are used to yelling at books when reading exciting passages, so here are some of my exclamations to illustrate how thrilling this book was to me:

Wool 1:
Oh, the poor man!
They’ve got a lottery? How strange is this?
What is it???
They can’t… Really? No! I thought it had something to do with the cleansers in their pockets, but this?

Wool 2:
I wouldn’t want to climb all these stairs.
What an asshole! This guy means trouble.
For all his life? Say something!
Finally!
Oh no… no… Please don’t…

Wool 3:
Wait… what? It’s just the beginning!
Careful! Don’t let them realize!
Save him!
Oh no, not again!
As I said: trouble!
Run! Run! As fast as you can!
Um… How many???

Wool 4:
Yes!
But why is there…
Oh yes, they did!
Don’t get yourself involved with this guy!
No, don’t! You will all get killed!
For how long? Dammit!
Yeah, come and get him!

Wool 5:
Oh no… I told you so.
They really are in contact! Gorgeous!
Yes, it’s that many.
What a horrible thought!
I want to know, too!
They heard her!
Just what I feared…
No! Don’t say it that way! He’s so deceitful…
Yeah!
*sigh*

My ratings for the individual books:
Wool 1: 5 stars
Wool 2: 4 stars
Wool 3: 5 stars
Wool 4: 4 stars
Wool 5: 5 stars
Which means an average of 4.6, of course rounded up to 5 stars.

I formally apologize for the excessive use of exclamation marks, but I would like to see how many of them you will use, if you – and I highly recommend that you – READ THIS BOOK!

I knew the multiple exclamation marks would get others to read the book! :D
Great, I hope you'll enjoy it.

P.J. O'Brien That pretty much summed up my experience in reading the whole Omnibus.

With the same amount of exclamation marks? ;)

Almost as many, but I balanced them with an equal number of 'Wait… what?' and a few ?!! and !??.
