I feel that I need to justify my 2-star rating. Some of this book was incredibly interesting, but to get to the interesting parts, one has to trudge through this awful, stereotypical punk-rock drivel. I'm not dissing on the punk rock novel as a genre. I enjoy the occasional punk rock novel, but this one was so obnoxiously cheesy at times, I could barely stand it. Maybe I am missing the point, and the author did this on purpose. Maybe I am just old and jaded and don't quite "get it" anymore. This is entirely possible, but it doesn't lessen my annoyance any.

I'm just saying that I think this book could've been a lot better. I had high hopes. Ah, well.
