Ah, I feel as if the stakes are higher with each book of this series. There were a lot less humorous situations and joking around and a lot more serious conversations. I felt more attached to the characters (view spoiler) and I felt so sad when some events took place.

The book took some very unexpected turns. (view spoiler)

I'm glad to say that Scorch was more entertaining and had a deeper plot than the first one.

There were still some times that made me chuckle:
"You know what I love about the roof? How thin it is! Yes-sir, when it rains, I can hear each and every drop!"

And parts that made me extremely sad. (view spoiler)

I seriously cannot wait until the next book is released. I know I'll be running to get it.
