it was amazing
bookshelves: y-adult, fairies-and-other-paranormal, vampires
Read in March, 2009

I wanted to read this book slowly, to savor my last trip with the Mortal Instruments. I longed to know if Jace and Clary were brother and sister (please say no!), does Simon find true love, can Alex and Mangus work things out, does Clary's mom ever wake up, can they defeat Valentine? So many Questions to answer in 540 pages.

But Damn that Cassandra Clare, she had to go and write and roller coaster of book that I could not put down. I keep saying to myself "just one more chapter and then I'll go do the dishes", "just one more chapter and then I'll eat lunch", but there was no "just one more chapter", it's was sleep and read. Clare gave me clues to the ending, let me be mad, and sad, and happy with her characters. I walk away happier for the experience and completely satisfied.
