This Jeeves & Wooster installment was fantastic. It wasn't as good as my ultimate favorite "Code of the Woosters" but it's pretty dang good. As I read I was mentally trying to keep a list of page numbers for quotes I especially liked. This didn't work especially well. Next time I'm using a pencil.

None of my friends (save one, the best friend who introduced me to Wodehouse in the first place) have read these and I can't figure out why! They are so, so funny, and witty, and clever. The British TV show based on these books is perfect. If I ever have to go into hiding, I'm totally taking an alias from a Wodehouse book. Bertram Wilberforce Wooster- now THAT'S a name!

In this particular book, Bertie has to go off to the country to his Uncle Percy's estate and try to talk up his friend Boko who wants to marry Percy's ward Nobby. But he accidentally gets engaged to Florence, who was previously engaged to his former pal Stilton Cheesewright. Jeeves, of course, is there to save the day.
