The Man Who Made Vermeers is a fascinating, witty story of an unappreciated Dutch artist who turned his talents to forgery. Selling his fake Vermeers to ranking Nazis (Goebbels) during World War II had him labeled as a collaborator. This reads like fiction, and is an education in the world of art forgery. (Tess A.
