This is the second Francine Rivers book I've read. I thought it was very good and got the message across clearly between serving God and serving one's self. I got a little impatient with Eunice and felt like she let her husband walk all over her a little too much. I know she was trying to be faithful to God but sometimes I just wanted her to get a little tough! I thought the book was good and I really cared about the characters, especially Samuel and Abby.

Claire This was a very good book and a page-turner. Its about a young pastor and his wife who move to a small town to take the reins of a church that needs a new pastor. Francine Rivers creates a good cast of characters and a good story. I would recommend this book.
