I wanted to like this book more. I agree with the philosophy, I thought the first section was wonderfully done. However I thought the book "Rea Food" does a better job and the last section read just a little too sanctimonious for my tastes. This last point, I think, is the real danger to the slow food/organic movement - the danger of the advocates coming off as uncaring to real life (Alice Waters has the same issue)
