Read in April, 2007

By watching Mak's family deal with the enormous changes the 20th century brought to the Netherlands, I understood much more about the national character and how it got to be that way. It was also the first real book I read entirely in Dutch (in 1 month no less), so despite the possibility that I misunderstood some things, it will always be special to me.

Gerda congratulations, not the easiest book to read in Dutch. I am Dutch and find it a good but not easy read. Well done.
