Josie has cerebral palsy. This book is told through her perspective, in poem-form. She doesn't want to be different. It is powerful to see her world through HER eyes, instead of it being told by someone else. It really makes you feel for all those kids who are different--for whatever reason; and I think most of them KNOW they are different. The author did a very good job. This is a quick read---it can be read within an hour or two, but well worth it. Reaching For Sun received the Schneider Family Book Award. I recommend it.
