OKAY Vampires and werewolves and steampunk AND victoriana? wow it's a lot mashed together in series these days. I've actually read SEVERAL series with these mashups, but I think this one did a very good job, moreso than other books I've read, to make it a believable world.

The main character is hiding from the bad aristocratic vampires in the outcast part of London ruled by the sexy outcast vampire. I mean, it's pretty obvious what's gonna happen with the setup (the relationship part) but the journey of it is pretty enjoyable. Although she's kinda helpless, the main character Honoria was fun to read along with, and her relationship was Blade was excellent (and way good "getting together" scenes!). I liked them together, and so the book really worked for me. There were some plotting pace issues I think, and the whole ending was a bit of an odd resolution, but I really really liked it and would definitely read another by the author!
