Parker Fadley embodies a college admissions office's dream: Cheerleading Captain, 4.0 Honor Student 3 years running, and high scores on any form of IQ test. Her Type A personality scares her worshippers at her private school, St. Peter's High, and keeps them worshipping.
But what happens when the chosen one falls from grace? And why?
Well, she's not telling anyone. She's shutting herself out as punishment, to make sure no one can touch her. To be left alone. To alienate her friends. To let total bitchiness let loose to accomplish all of the above.
Unfortunately for Parker, it doesn't quite work out that way.
I feel like all the comments on this book have already been made. Here are some I agree with:

"Told beautifully in rendered, spare, haunting prose..."-Alyson Noel
"A novel that will keep you on edge."-K.L Going
"Summers expretly navigates the dangerous waters of high school..."-Martha O' Connor
"Gives you Parker, her world, her friends, straight up, no chaser. You won't forget her."-Kathe Koja

It begins with a hook:
"Imagine four years. Four years, two suicides, one death, one rape, two pregnancies(one abortion), three overdoeses, countless drunken antics, pantsings, spilled food, theft, fights, broken limbs, turf wars- every day, a turf war- six montsh until graduation and no one gets a medal when they get out. But everything you do here counts.
High school."

...and doesn't let you go till the end
