Many of you recall a Wrinkle in Time from ye olde childhood days...somewhere in the 4th grade I would expect. Funny thing is - I've never read it. Serious. I thought it was time to dig out a Newberry classic - and what a classic it is! I loved it - and I can see why children and teachers (specifically) love it. The story is simple, creative, entertaining, and done just right. The characters are unique, as is the plot. I enjoyed the spiritual connotations and the age old "love conquers all" theme. I love adventure stories - good triumphing over evil - things going from bad to worse, and then finally resolving to an even happier ending than the characters anticipated. It's heart-warming and uplifting. Read 'er again if it's been awhile, or read it for the first time like I did. It will not disappoint.
