These are very evil penguins. Maliciously, murderously evil. I don't like them. Partly, I like my evil things cute, like my leg-gnawing-but-unbelievably-adorable cat. I mean, if all or most of the penguins in this slim little volume looked like the one chasing Hello, Kitty! and friends I just might be in love. But they're very very angry little penguins. Partly, death and guts depress me. Partly, I like evil like in the SourPatch Kids commercials. Which I guess would be less evil and more sour. My favorite comic in the whole book was the penguin flushing the toilet while the guy was showering, followed by the penguin fish-slapping the bear sitting in the salmon stream. Neither of which are inherently evil; just mischievous. To conclude, you will likely only find this book entertaining or amusing if you like murder, blood, and guts caused by semi-cute smallish animals. Otherwise, be prepared for wry chuckles and mild sadness.
