I checked this out at the library recently and my 5 yr. old daughter LOVES it! I think she likes it so much because she can relate to Lulu, the main character so well. Lulu, is told by her older brother that she is "too little" to play ball with him and his friends. I'm sure that my daughter has heard those words many times. Then, her mom tells her that she needs to figure out her own fun time because mom and dad have work to do around the house. More words that my daughter has heard many times. I really like how Lulu finds ways of entertaining herself and how she comes to realize that she isn't "too little" to have fun. I also really like the illustrations, the facial expressions on the little girl and her dog are priceless.
