Reading the "Project Gutenberg" on-line version, not quite the same feel of a nice old book in the hand. I'm not sure if this story falls flat for me because I'm reading it for the first time as an adult. The depth of character & situation are much less than I'm used to with LMM. Also, very different as the narrator is an adult male remembering fondly adventures of his childhood, but the voice is so feminine I forget that he's supposed to be speaking from a male perspective!
