I thought I remembered that name - L. Rust Hills - and then I remembered that he wrote a book called Writing in General and the Short Story in Particular. It was a pretty good little book, not a stand-out, but really solid.

I'm always interested in knowing whether or not a collection by well known writers contains works that are not as well known or anthologized. This would make it more appealing to me.

p.s. Just read the NYT piece about his influence and recent death.
