really liked it
bookshelves: 2012-2013-school-year
Read from October 18 to 20, 2012

The mob based in Chicago?? Not a topic that is covered very often in YA literature, but it works and it was very interesting.

Sara Jane grew up in a family that seemed normal from the outside - even to her living on the inside. But on her 16th birthday that all changes...her family is taken from her and she is forced to face reality and her family secrets in order to survive and locate her family.

The first 75-100 pages of this book are a little slow, but necessary!! You must understand Sara Jane's past and the history of the mob in order to fully appreciate this story. If you can make it past the beginning - HANG ON for a great story! So much action...a page turner.

Looking forward to meeting the author...he is scheduled to visit my school and our local book store.
