For some reason, my parents gave me this book for my birthday a few months ago. Yet I have never, in my recollection, even mentioned Jane Fonda to them in conversation ever. I don't think I've even ever thought about her, except when someone once told me her home aerobic videos are the highest selling home videos of all time.

Nonetheless, I started reading her autobiography on the long plane ride home recently, and became completely engrossed in her story. As with most autobiographies it is not a work of literary genius, but her life has certainly been far from dull. Were it not for Jane Fonda's political activism and her stick-it-to-the-man approach to the world, I doubt as an actress alone her story would be so interesting. But she has done alot with her money and her privilege for underprivileged communities, Native American rights, anti-war fervor and women's empowerment, and she is to be admired. Now I might even watch one of her movies one day.
