I like the nightside books because, generally speaking, they're funny and they're quick reads. This one was both of those still, but also started considering some more serious matter - such as the nature of good and evil, whether motive and goal can mitigate each other, etc.... I also like that the author is starting to tie in some of their other series, as small references throughout the text. You don't miss anything if you haven't read their other stuff, but, it's there as a nice little easter egg if you have
