The Fellowship of the Ring
The book The Fellowship of the Ring, by J.R. Tolkien, is set in the imaginary middle earth in an imaginary time. The world is full of elves, dwarfs, orcs, giants, wizards, hobbits, and men. The main characters are Sauron the Evil, Aragon the ranger, The Nazgul, Frodo, Elrond, Sam, Pipin and Mary, Legolas, Boromir, and Gimli. Fordo struggles to fight the ring while the fellowship struggles to get to Mordor.
One connection I made was a T-W. Frodo struggles less with the journey to Mordor and more with the power of the ring. Just like Frodo, many of us struggle with the internal lust to do evil. Yet just like Frodo who resisted the ring, so should we resist ourselves.
I loved this book. I found it extremely exciting. I could truly feel the pain and suffering the fellowship felt throughout the book as well as the joy and happiness. Plot 5 stars, Excitement 5 stars, Execution wonderful, overall 5 stars.
