How do you top 'Crisis on Infinite Earths', one of the greatest cosmic sagas in superhero comics history since, well, Kirby's 'New Gods'? Thankfully, Geoff Johns and Phil Jimenez don't try, and they even enlist the cover art services of the original penciller, the Bronx's very own George Perez! Gotta respect such R.E.S.P.E.C.T. I think Johns is a stronger writer than Marv Wolfman, and Phil Jimenez a talented artist in his own right, but really now, how do you surpass Perez' achievement of the first series? Hopefully this book provides the same thrill to this generation of readers that 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' did for mine.
