it was amazing

Another illustrated novel that I really enjoyed. I read it in two sittings, and while doing dishes between the two sittings, I couldn't stop thinking about the characters. In the few illustrated novels I've read, I've found that I instantly love the characters, maybe because you can see them and their surroundings right away, I'm not really sure. The story was really well developed and it was just a beautiful experience.

Christina Wasn't it lovely? I loved all of the ways threads from the boys' childhoods are woven throughout the illustrations. Even though I read it a few months ago I still find myself thinking of the characters sometimes. They stuck with me.

Katie i just didn't want the book to end, and i still want to go back to it. i went to the library yesterday and hung out in the illustrated novel section for a while, and read the first page of some, but they just didn't grab me...i think i like the black and white format.
