I enjoyed this book and learned a little more about the historical settings of the revelations given to Joseph Smith and other prophets of this dispensation. This is not an in depth history but more of an overview of major revelatory periods in the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Though there were some interesting tidbits that I hadn't read before, most of the information is available from other soures. I do recommend the book for readers unfamiliar with the historical settings of the Doctrine and Covenants.
