Read in November, 2008

This is a recent re-read for me. The story is a basic one, what does a group of women who have worked in a factory for almost 20 years do when the factory closes down? What I really enjoyed was all of the different women, and their stories. There is no real heroine, and no definite happy ending, just women getting by, and adjusting after their entire world is thrown up in the air.
