Honestly, this novel was hard to get into at first. I really liked the premise and the main character is humble and kind in a very likable way. But it felt a lot like a first draft to me. There were MANY repeated work, typos and generally clumsy sentences and paragraphs to the point that I got frustrated several times.

That said, something kept me reading on. The mystery intrigued me. The author did a great job of giving just enough information to keep me hanging on and by the time I reached the 25% marked I was hooked and finished it within a matter of days. The story is unique and it kept me guessing all the way until the end.

Because I love the story so much, it pains me even more that book needs a lot of editing. I think a few more passes with a good editor would have made this book one of my favorites. I could easily see this book on the shelf next to Twilight.

I wish I could give it a rave. I do recommend it and I will read the next one.
