really liked it
bookshelves: childrens

I loved the contrast between the grey bear and the bright picture he is making. I could not wait to see his finished product. This is a reillustrated version of a title from the 1970s. I wonder what those illustrations were like.

Melissa I grabbed this off the new book shelf to have a look. I agree about the use of color, very nice. I really appreciate that the two fine gentlemen don't rattle Bear's confidence in the least. And the gentlemen being eaten/disappearing into the thing they don't believe/don't agree with...why is this ringing a bell?

Melissa Hey--I just looked at Sandy's Circus by Tanya Lee Stone, and what I noticed first is that it's backwards from Bear's Picture! In Sandy, the pictures are full-color, and the art and materials are in black and white. Kind of cool.
