Simplistic but highly entertaining. I always like marriage of convenience plots so it was easy for me to like this one as well. The characters, especially Calder's, are not described in depth and some scenes, like when he fondled her publicly in the staircase, are over the top, but I liked the result nonetheless. Light but with just a touch of angst to add some interest in the mix, it was fast paced and very enjoyable. I think I may have liked it more than the first one, but certainly Celeste Bradley is an author I'll look out for when I'm in a mood for a mind candy.

Corrine I really don't remember this series that well, but I gave it three stars across the board. Have you read her spy books? They're much better, IMO.

Fani I got the first two: The Pretender and The Impostor and I'm looking forward to them now. I like her style a lot; not too light nor too angsty with nice touches of humor. Techincally she has flaws in her writing -anachronisms, little depth of characters and improbable situations- but I find her books entertaining, fast-paced and with interesting plot lines. I certainly plan to check her back list now that I've found her:) And I'm reading Duke most wanted now, which seems even better so far!
