** spoiler alert **
This is by far the best book I've ever read. I've literally read it over 20+ times and it's amazing. Not only is it a true story, but it's written by the actual person who went through of all of this. It starts out with a young girl named Jennifer who has a mother who's really sick with cancer. Jenny lives with her mother, her dad, and her brother B.J. Things start to get tough and eventually her mother falls severely ill and loses her battle to cancer, leaving Jenny stranded with her father whom starts to pay less and less attention to her when he suddenly moves his new girlfriend in, and her rebellious brother who smokes and curses at her. I've given this book 5 stars and highly recommend it to anyone who's willing to be touched and to see the story in the eyes of a child who is clearly wise beyond her years.
