The only really captivating part of the book was the ending—though even that in itself was kind of annoying to me...Maybe it was just captivating because it meant that I was almost done the book. My main problem is, I feel that the main character, Zoey, is just given too much power right off the bat. It's almost overbearing, and it leaves the reader (in my opinion) thinking about how ridiculous the whole thing is rather than just enjoying the text. In a couple of days Zoey Redbird goes from being a regular teenage girl to practically being the superman of 'vampyres'. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this to someone. There are plenty of other vampire novels that I would recommend first before mentioning this one.]]>
