OMG I was so in love with this book that I didn't want it to end! "Just 5 more minutes"...as Penny often says throughout the book.

I always liked Penny Marshall and used to watch Laverne and Shirley all the time when I was young (on re-runs of course, I'm not that old). I was unaware until I read this book that she had produced a lot of movies, and I never really understood what directing and producing entailed until I read her book (ok truth be told I still don't get it). But the reason I loved this book so much is because Penny's depiction of what was happening through the years made me feel like I was actually there. This is the reason that I love memoirs, because I'm such a voyeur and this made me feel like I was in a little part of her life. Plus, I just absolutely love her sense of humor and her cynicism. Now, I feel like I have to go meet her one day!

Seriously, if you get the opportunity, pick this book up. I promise you once you do, you will not put it down.
