Presents selected works of Frost Design in a full-bleed scrap book fashion without captions. The idea behind the book is to be, in Vince Frost's words, an "idea book," the kind that art and design students are encouraged to keep as a visual diary during their studies. Many photograph of design work are overlaid on top of related photograph from the environement that may have sparked the idea. The text by Bhaskaran presents the narrated biography of Vince frost from His childhod in Canada and UK, stint in Japan and big move to Australia. While the text is not enlightening, it is coherent and also at times provides contextual information for some of the projects. All in all, If I had to choose between access either to Frost website or access to this book, I would doubtlessly pick the website. While the context behind Frost's work may not be as revealing and fascinating as context behind Ed Fella's work to pick an example and while there are more interesting scrap bookish monologyes (Mevis and Van Deursen to pick another example) the work of his studio is outstanding, especially the latest work with significant environmental aspect which naturally came after the book was published.
