did not like it
bookshelves: vampires
Read in January, 2009 , read count: Once

A painfully thin plot and wretchedly undeveloped characters propel this vampire-and-werewolf story, which was little more than badly written erotica with a backdrop of paranormal detective work. The main character's part werewolf nature seemed like more than an excuse for a truly laughable plot device - the premise that the full moon causes werewolves to nearly constantly need to have sex. Perhaps fun for someone looking for escapist erotica, but the sex scenes weren't well written enough for me to resist laughing at them. The main character felt like a compilation of 'spunky paranormal romance female lead' clichés, and I never cared about her in the slightest. A weak attempt at a sub-genre whose more successful practitioners aren't all that good to begin with.
