The reason this caught my eye? The last name is so similar to mine, and it's not one that you run into every day. Not the best way to go about picking a book to read, but there are worse, right?

For most of it, I didn't feel very... connected to the author at all. In fact, in real life, we probably wouldn't have been friends because of all the differences. *shrug* That not withstanding, I wasn't enthralled by the essays or writing either. The essay about being a bridesmaid for someone you really don't know anymore - that entertained me. But for the most part, I found the stories to be very cliche'd and typical. I'm rather glad it was a library book and I didn't spend money on it.
