Read in December, 2008

The story of the three remaining family members after the college-bound, 18 year-old daughter simply disappears. I thought this was an interesting, even compelling, story of family dynamics and differing reactions after an unfathomable event has occurred. There were times I could not put the book down and HAD to read the next chapter. It also provided an different view of what happens when someone goes missing than what we see on tv shows, whether reality-based or fiction. I gave it four stars, not five, because I found the ending lacked the depth of character insight in the rest of the book.
