it was amazing

I loved In This Life! This is a love story I didn’t want to end. I read it slowly, soaking up the worlds Terri Herman-Ponce created. Yes, worlds. Spun together in skillfully crafted transitions that send the reader from present time to ancient Egypt as we travel into richly developed past lives. This author has done her research and seamlessly delivers the reader through space and time with vivid, descriptive, sensory details. I could smell the lotus blossoms and feel the heat of an Egyptian sun. In This Life is a novel full of complexities that follows an inter-connected community and the love triangle that so brutally affected their lives.

In a heartbeat, I would recommend this novel to everyone, but especially to those intrigued by the concept you may have lived and loved before. Lottie and David both struggle with inexplicable, deep-seated feelings and behaviours. Terri Herman-Ponce takes her characters on a beautiful journey of self-discovery. This is a book to be savoured, one that will last through the ages, one to be read again and again.
