This was the first 2009 tbr challenge book that I picked up off the bookshelf. I'd like to give this 4 stars but I can't. For readability and enjoyment, it's definitely a 4. For originality and literary quality, it's a solid 3. I guess for its genre, it is better than most. Macomber writes what could be categorized as romance, but her books are not bodice-rippers. They are clean and wholesome and filled with interesting characters. I'll definitely look for the next book in the series and read it. But it's like watching Seinfeld vs. Gone With The Wind
. One is quick and short and entertaining while the other will transform you and be momorable for its brilliance. All books can't be 4's and 5's. This is a good 3.
