When his mother is diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, Will Schwalbe tries to spend as much quality time with her as possible as she undergoes medical treatment. Because they have both been book lovers their entire lives, they quickly fall into a habit of reading & discussing books during two years of chemo treatments & other medical procedures--a book club for two. The mother/son discussions are fascinating, as are their book choices. I appreciated the inclusion of the entire list of books discussed in an appendix.

Both a tribute to his mother, clearly a remarkable woman, and to the power of books to connect people and help them through very difficult times.
