I am not necessarily a huge fan of the spy-thriller genre, but I borrowed this book from my parents' shelves and figured it would be a relatively mindless read. What I was not expecting was how completely different the novel is from the movie. Other than the fact that both the book and the movie feature a highly-skilled action-figure-type guy named Jason Bourne who has amnesia, they are not even remotely the same story. Completely different plot. I can't decide which I liked more. The movie has that cinematic cat-and-mouse element to it, which makes for an exciting time. But of course the book was more intricate and detailed. Anyway, it's up there with Grisham, I suppose, in the read-it-quickly adventure genre.
