really liked it

I really enjoyed this book. It offers a well-thought out argument to the possibiliy of the existence of a hidden gospel of Mary Magdelene. The writings themselves as depicted were realistic and believable, and served to humanize Jesus and explain some things that are only briefly touched on in the New Testament. The tone of the book was uplifting despite the intruigue and occasional violence. It is not a copycat Da Vinci Code book where there are endless puzzles and many twists and turns, although there are similarities with messages communicated through art.

The author seems to believe that she was a direct descendent of MM and Jesus and was chosen to find the writings and bring them to light. She chose to write it as a novel as she did not have enough concrete proof to have it be otherwise. I am not sure how much of the book is "fictionalized", but it does seem a stretch that the author actually found these writings and we have only heard of it through her own book. If she did find them, similar to the recent finding of Judas' gospel, wouldn't it make news? Or if they should be hidden from public knowledge for the time being, why would someone
allow her to write this book??

I still am looking forward to the next book, where I assume she either finds or will attempt to find "The Book of Love", the actual writings of Jesus.
