This is the second installment in the Razorland series and it delivered. The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star review is because there was so much recapping of the first book in the first 30% of this book, that it was a little tedious to get through.
The main character, Deuce, is quickly becoming one of my favorite strong (and by that I mean doesn't take shit from anyone) females in recent literature. Alexia Tarabotti (Soulless) will always hold the top spot, but Deuce can proudly sit next to Katsa (Graceling) and Katness Everdeen (The Hunger Games) as far as I'm concerned.
As I stated in my review of book one in the series, Ann Aguirre, doesn't dumb down her writing and makes it appealing even for someone who is no longer a young adult, but a full fledged adult at the oh so old age of 35, to stay interested. I can only hope that the next book in the series will becoming out soon as I am very impatient and dying to know what happens next!!
