For better or worse, this book profoundly impacted my life after stumbling upon it my freshman year of college. I can never again go back to concieving of education as a static process again. My idea of freedom will forever be in-process as well as a result of reading this book. In many ways, I feel that my academic career has been the task of picking up the pieces after reading this damn book.
