Read in January, 2008, read count: 2

This is such a beautiful series, and I love the way this book takes the coming-of-age story above and beyond the Epic Journey of Homecoming. (It reminds me that I always wanted to read a serious take on what happened to the Boxcar Children after finding their grandfather, instead of living Happily Ever After and solving goofy mysteries.) And Dicey has got to be one of the greatest tomboys in literature.
