After reading so many great reviews for not only the author but this book. I was disappointed. I felt the dialogue between the characters was stilted and forced. I read a few reviews that thought the book should have ended at the saving of heaven and I can see their point. It felt like a natural place to stop, it felt like the remaining book was an after thought when a series came to mind. I admit, I found the end of the book the most intriguing part and I'm glad that it got added because if, and it appears like there should be, a sequel, I will be reading it just to find out what happens. If the book had ended where a naturally ending felt right, i probably would not read any further books by Ms. Anastasia. I know that that last statement probably garnered some gasps, as I've read reviews for her Poughkeepsie and everyone LOVES it, her writing style, just wasn't for me.
