** spoiler alert ** The Tell-Tale Heart is a book that I find very disturbing. To think a man would kill someone over the appearance of his eye. For some reason the old man's blue eye made his roommate fear him. He watched over the old man night after night, until one night the old man wakes in terror. The roommate believes he hears the pounding of the old mans heart, which is so loud he believes the neighbors will hear and decides this would be the time to kill him. After he kills him the police respond to a call from one of the neighbors, however because he cleaned up the mess so well he believes he can fool the police into believing that nothing is wrong. After sitting a while with the police officers he believes he hears the heartbeat of the old man through the floor boards and confesses the killing to the police. I believe anyone who like scarey movies would like reading this story.
